Water Damage

Water damage can quickly ruin your home, turning a beautiful surface into a warped mess. At Vision Flooring LLC, we’re experts in repairing water damage and restoring your home. We restore it back to what it was, using high quality materials and quality work. Whether it’s a spill, a leak, a flood, or a burst pipe, issues like hardwood floor buckling can arise, but our team is here to help.

Here is what you can do immediately

  • Stop the Water Source: Turn off the main water supply or fix any leaks (e.g., a burst pipe) to prevent further damage.

  • Remove Excess Water: Use towels, mops, or a wet vacuum to soak up standing water as quickly as possible.

  • Improve Ventilation: Open windows, use fans, or a dehumidifier to dry the area and reduce moisture that could worsen floor buckling.

  • Elevate Furniture: Lift rugs, furniture, and other items off the floor to avoid trapping water and staining the wood.

  • Avoid Walking: Minimize foot traffic on the affected area to prevent additional damage or spreading water.

  • Document the Damage: Take photos or videos for insurance purposes before moving anything.

  • Avoid DIY Repairs: Refrain from sanding hardwood floors or applying sealants yourself, as this could complicate professional restoration.

What we do

The first step for us is assessing the damage. We will quickly meet you at your home, take pictures, take measurements and document what was damaged. We will then put together an estimate that you will use to send to your insurance adjuster. They will also likely send someone to inspect the damage. Water can cause swelling or floor buckling, especially if not addressed promptly. Our skilled technicians use proven methods to repair water damage hardwood floors, including drying the area and refinishing hardwood floors.

Drying the home

The insurance company will send a mitigation company that will remove wet floors, parts of the walls, cabinets and other damaged parts of the home. This is done, so the drying can begin. They will leave drying equipment like fans and dehumidifiers.

After several days of drying, and after the home is fully dried, we can begin working on restoring those parts of the home that were damaged or removed.

Restoration

To restore your home, we make a plan with you on every part of the restoration. We mask many parts of your home to allow you to use your home with minimal disruption. We often move furniture, mask and clean to leave the work area clean after each day.

With good planning, the restoration of your home will go smoothly and quickly, and you get to return to your beautiful home.

We work with all insurance companies and collaborate with numerous restoration companies to simplify your claims process. Beyond flooring, we offer comprehensive restoration work, including cabinets, walls, millwork, drywall, and painting, making us your one-stop solution for home recovery.

We also provide advice on wood floor maintenance and other parts of your home, including preventative practices you can do, to prevent future problems or damage.
